Passion about any particular thing in our life gives us energy and motivation to push forward. Recently I wrote about my passion for Pilates, and I have found that my devotion and passion for this exercise has given me the energy and motivation to push forward in other areas of my life. Having a passion about this one thing in my life has shown me how to create realistic timelines for other aspects of my life. This passion translates to being able to stick with my interests longer than normal as a result of the passion. When the option to give up arises because the road to success is too long and troublesome, we can persevere through the passion of wanting to achieve a particular outcome.
Passion uncovers a level of perseverance that is necessary for almost every new venture we take on. As we struggle through the beginning we can gain insights that allow us to cultivate the confidence that assures the idea works.
Instead of moving mechanically through life passion finds us pushing on and working harder to solve the problems we encounter. Resulting in achieving our goals. For instance, when I decided to return to school to gain my bachelor degree I was filled with an overwhelming desire to make this happen. When I tried so many times previously and failed I did not have the same desire or passion to achieve the goal. I believe this had a lot to do with readiness, in my previous attempts to complete my goals I was not ready mentally and I did not have the passion to complete the goal. When we prepare our mind to achieve our goals and have a level of passion for them we then become eager to move forward with desire and focus.
In order to move forward in life it is important that we utilize passion to move forward. Your passion will influence and motivate you to achieve.
